ABOUT

Jude (they/them) is an Oakland born NYC-based non-binary neurodivergent Theatre Director, Intimacy Director, and Teaching Artist.

They work to amplify and center the voices of queer/trans artists, female artists, and artists of color by amplifying the work of artists who have historically been forcibly excluded from artistic spaces. Their artistic goal is to facilitate work that is trauma-informed, healing-centered, abolitionist, and antiracist.

As a director, Jude primarily works on new plays in development. Though they also have experience in devised theatre and the staging of well loved pieces for new audiences. They have worked as AD for directors such as Jack Ferver and Shadi Ghaheri and collaborated with up-and-coming playwrights like Chris Harder and M Sloth Levine. In 2019, they directed and produced Dance Nation in the Frederick Loewe Theatre, making them the first non-binary Director to stage a production in the space.
